A SCOTLAND WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
I'm Christina
Taylor and Nick’s winter wedding at the Oak Atelier was a very special one for me. I met Taylor a few months prior during a mommy and me session with her sweet little guy. We instantly connected and I told her that one day when she finds the man of her dreams, she better call me because I wanted to be there! Well, boy did she ever! Flash forward a few months later, she met a tall, handsome man that treats her like gold. Bonus, he also treats her son like he is his own, and I think that speaks volumes to his character. I loved seeing how happy Taylor looked in all of her Instagram posts and the fun they were having together. I knew they were getting serious, and then one day she messaged me sharing the fantastic news that they were engaged! Woo hoo! Let the wedding planning begin! They chose the Oak Atelier to host their intimate wedding and it was so perfect. It was romantic and whimsy with a touch of boho. Taylor’s mom joined her in the bridal suite and helped her get in to her dress. The light was so beautiful in the suite that I knew we had to do some indoor bridal portraits of our gorgeous girl. Her dad and stepdad eventually joined us and shared a first look before heading down the aisle. Nick nervously awaited, as Taylor made her way down the stone path of the glass greenhouse. Once she stepped into the doorway, her little boy couldn’t hold back from running to his mommy. It was the sweetest moment. Taylor and Nick prepared personal vows to read to each other, but Parker had other plans for them. He led his mama and Nick over to a bench, had them sit, and allowed them to continue to read their vows. If you know anything about a two year old, then you know that they are the boss and you thank them when they give you the green light to continue doing what you were working on prior to the interruption. Now that everyone was moved, Nick began his vows by reading the vows he prepared for Parker. Y’all talk about a tear jerker. I am positive everyone was either holding back or wiping tears. It truly was such a sweet moment. Once we all got our acts together, it was time to exchange rings and seal this marriage with a kiss. And what a kiss it was! The family lined up and cheered, as our newlyweds made their way back down the aisle! That was the best ending, for a great couple! I am so so happy that Taylor and Nick found each other and judging by the family conversation, I anticipate additional little bossy people in the near future! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd!
