These studio family photos with the Van Liew’s at The Lumen Room in Houston, Texas were so sweet! The Van Liew’s are long time clients of mine and we first met when they were announcing their pregnancy with their little guy. Sarah is another sweet client that just has a heart of gold. After my father passed, she had a star named after him and it was truly the kindest gesture! Naturally, Sarah is always so on point with her family’s outfits, making my job as their Houston family photographer pretty easy! As soon as she walked in with her beautiful toile dress, I’m pretty sure I told her to give it to me, haha! Sarah actually started my love for Hill House and their nap dresses!

I just loved the look and turn out of these studio family photos. The Lumen Room provides the perfect space. I loved that we were able to bring Sarah’s vision for her studio family photos to life! The simplicity of the white walls creates a space that offers indefinite possibilities, even if it’s just keeping it as is and having photos done in front of it like the Van Liew’s! As a Houston family photographer, it’s a location that I love for studio sessions! Not only is the space beautiful and offers big natural windows for lighting, but there’s also quite a bit of furniture inventory as well for backdrops and use!
