Spring time at McGovern Centennial Gardens in the Houston Museum District is nothing short of incredible, the crawling roses, the lush greenery; it truly doesn’t get much better. Well, actually. this particular session did because mama is a fellow photographer friend! Its always so fun to photograph another photographer and their family. It’s not often we get the chance to be on the other side of the lens, so its very special to me to capture their memories.
I actually met Jennifer when I was pregnant with my youngest little man at a wedding and then flash forward a year later she was pregnant with her little gal. Now her little baby is almost 18 months old and full of personality. We picked flowers, ran through the Rose Gardens, and giggled our way through. It was so sweet watching her love and play with her parents.
We also made sure to carve out some time to grab some shots of Jennifer and her husband. In every family session, I always make time to capture a few shots of mom and dad. Often, once we transition from husband and wife to our new roles of mom and dad, we forget that we’re still husband and wife! I always cherish the photos of my husband and I from our family sessions because we take so few together these days. I love that one day our boys will look back on those images and see how much love their parents have for each other. So lets schedule your family session today and create new memories!
