A Downtown Houston Engagement

Eleanor Tinsley Park

Sometimes life hands you two people that you instantly connect with and feel like you have known them for forever. From the first time we chatted, I knew I loved Kelsey. She is so fun and has the best energy. I was super excited to meet Kelsey & Tyler for their downtown Houston engagement session. Kelsey loves the downtown Houston skyline, so we mapped out a few locations to create a dynamic gallery.
Eleanor Tinsley was first on our list. I love this location because it is right off of Allen Parkway in the city, but still features beautiful trees. Next up we headed to the theatre district, to really capture downtown Houston in all her glory. Other than it randomly being a wind tunnel, it was so perfect. Lastly, we headed to my favorite rooftop to photograph on. Kelsey and Tyler brought champagne to use during their downtown Houston engagement session and it was my favorite memory from their session. When Tyler first popped the cork, it was relatively uneventful. Then we had the genius idea to shake it and let it spray. Well, it sprayed right into Tyler’s face. We. Were. Hysterically. Laughing. It was the funniest thing ever and made for the best candid shots.
I absolutely cannot wait for their winter wedding at Mae’s Ridge in the Texas Hill Country. It is going to be the best day. However, I am thinking we might hold off on popping bottles till the reception. Or maybe just a champagne tower? hehe

If you are engaged, living in the Houston area and looking for a Houston wedding photographer for your engagement photos and to capture your wedding day, I would love to speak with you about your wedding photography needs. Please contact me and let’s chat!
