I am sure you have heard me say this a time or two about a bride, but to know Emma is to love Emma. She is hilarious, beautiful, and the sweetest ray of sunshine on the planet. My favorite thing about Emma is how animated she is. I just love her to pieces.
Emma brought her sister and maid-of-honor Ruth, along with her mom to her bridal session at the River Oaks Garden Club. I think we all gasped once she stepped out in her beautiful wedding gown. The dress was perfect for Emma. I love how simple the front is and then a gorgeous accent bow in the back. It was stunning.
We started the session under the beautiful green arches at the River Oaks Garden Club. The arches create such a classic garden feel and right in the center of Houston. Emma is so elegant, so I knew this would be the perfect space for her. We moved the side of the building where there is a wall of white paned windows. Emma’s mom made the comment that the windows reminded her of their patio. I love that while we were not at their family home, a piece of her bridal session will provoke a thought of home.
Throughout the session we laughed, had all of the heart eyes for Emma, and practiced “soft, bridal hands” more times than I can count. So much so, that on the wedding day, Emma literally says “soft, bridal hands” during her and her now husband’s couple portraits! hehe Which brings me to my next thought….don’t think twice about booking bridals. I say this because Emma and Michael’s wedding day was filled with good luck aka rain and had we not done bridals in advance, we would have been in a bit of a pickle to find the time to do outdoor portraits! Plus, you get an extra day to wear the most beautiful gown and play with the prettiest flowers!
The Springs Trinity Farmhouse 14 years! That is half my age, ha, I wish. However, that is the amount of time that Ashley and Andy have been dating, so a Trinity Farmhouse wedding was long over due for these lovebirds. Knowing that was going to be a beautiful and exciting wedding, I was counting down […]

Beachtwown Galveston I love photographing maternity sessions, but Galveston maternity sessions are some of my favorites. Especially, when I have a sweet, furry friend to photograph. Sarah and Peter are expecting their first baby and wanted to document the occasion on the island. Galveston holds a special place to the couple; it is the city […]

The Wedding Details Still Waters Ranch is one of the most lovely venues south of Houston. It features a large lake, a rustic outdoor chapel, and perfect for a couple wanting an elegant farmhouse wedding. With that being said, it was no surprise to me that Caroline & Caleb would choose to host their wedding […]

The Willow Glasshouse The Oak Atelier is the sweetest location for bridal portraits and a personal favorite. To my excitement this is the exact space Kay opted to host her own bridal portraits. My sweet bride was set to say I do last March, but due to all of the restrictions they were forced to […]

The Rose Garden McGovern Centennial Gardens is one of my absolute favorite locations to visit for an engagement session. During the late winter and early spring seasons, the pink climbing roses cover the arches in the Rose Garden section of park. I was worried that last years freeze would have harmed the flowers, but they […]

St. Anne Catholic Church St. Anne Catholic Church is where Emma and Michael hosted their winter and my first wedding of 2022. It was a cold and wet day, but nothing could keep these lovebirds down. We started our day off of the beautiful Hotel Zaza in the Museum District for hair and makeup, champagne toasts, […]

This Arrowhead Hill Editorial is colorful, romantic, and glamorous, with bold florals and fashion forward looks for both the bride and the groom. Velvet table coverings, floral place settings, and colored drinkware are a few of my favorite elements of the tablescape. The rich pallet combined with the various textures created a luxurious vibe that […]

Taylor and Nick’s winter wedding at the Oak Atelier was a very special one for me. I met Taylor a few months prior during a mommy and me session with her sweet little guy. We instantly connected and I told her that one day when she finds the man of her dreams, she better call […]

I’ve always loved weddings. From the moment the bride first catches a glimpse of herself in her dress to the shared bottle of Veuve Clicquot the couple sips with their cake at the end of the night, I fall a little more in love with my work every day. I still tear up during toasts and get chills when the bride takes her first step down the aisle.
I spend my days documenting graceful celebrations and my nights with my husband scouring the city for the best new Thai restaurant. From mountain biking adventures with the whole family to the rush of helping a bride perfect a seemingly-impossible wedding day timeline, I believe life is a thrilling adventure.
And the day you say “I do” should be the most thrilling of all! I can’t wait to escort you through this process, enabling you to fully enjoy every moment while creating memories you’ll be able to return to for a lifetime.
