Expecting mothers are always some of my favorite subjects to capture. Growing bellies, pregnancy glow, and the excitement for baby to come make maternity photography so special. Taylor & Austin’s maternity session was no exception and definitely one I will always remember. Obviously, Taylor is the most stunning mama to be, but we also had an interesting situation to deal with. Lady bugs… Yes, the harmless, little polka dotted bug that is thought to bring good luck, but imagine hundreds of them flying around a field. It truly was a sight to see and had us cracking up the entire time. Other than our little friends making an unexpected appearance, we could not have asked for a more gorgeous Houston day for a portrait session. The sun was shining, low humidity, and temperatures in the 70’s, I would say that is a perfect Texas day. More importantly, a perfect Texas hair day. Taylor was stunning in her white, lace maternity gown, but my jaw dropped when she changed into her black, off the shoulder velvet gown. Austin looked dapper in his blue suit as well. I think it’s safe to say that they will have one handsome little guy.
