Beachtwown Galveston
I love photographing maternity sessions, but Galveston maternity sessions are some of my favorites. Especially, when I have a sweet, furry friend to photograph. Sarah and Peter are expecting their first baby and wanted to document the occasion on the island. Galveston holds a special place to the couple; it is the city that they were married.
When photographing in Galveston, my go to spot is always Beachtown. I love the architecture, the pastel colors of the homes, and the beach is a little more private. Sarah and Peter’s outfits were completely on brand with the day. Her ruffled sleeve neutral dress, paired with Peter’s white shirt & khaki’s was the perfect combination. If you’re ever thinking of taking beach portraits, neutrals, pastels, and soft prints photograph so well.
In addition to their cute puppy, they brought the sonogram of the little guy and a pair of tiny moccasins. I think it’s so great when couples bring meaningful items to their sessions. It also gives your hands something to do and adds a little more personalization to the session. I always like to use items that are available in the location such as flowers and with this session a sea shell. Sarah held a small, white shell against her tiny baby bump. I thought it was a sweet representation of the little life she is growing.
