A SCOTLAND WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
I'm Christina
St. Anne Catholic Church
St. Anne Catholic Church is where Emma and Michael hosted their winter and my first wedding of 2022. It was a cold and wet day, but nothing could keep these lovebirds down. We started our day off of the beautiful Hotel Zaza in the Museum District for hair and makeup, champagne toasts, and all the laughs. The wedding party then loaded up to head to St. Anne Catholic Church. Once we arrived to the church, Emma and Michael shared a private moment for their first look. I have many favorite moments of the day, but this was one of the best. Michael was absolutely thrilled to see his bride and you can just see how happy they make each other. I have no doubt that Emma and Michael were created for each other. Wiping back tears, we started their couples portraits. When I say started, I really mean super started in an attempt to beat the rain. We managed to get through the photos and now it was time to send our sweet couple down the aisle to seal the deal. Once the ceremony concluded, we again attempted to take outdoor wedding party photos. Unfortunately, for us the rain showed us no grace and opened the skies. Like I said earlier, nothing could rain on Emma & Michael’s parade! The wedding party hung in there and made the best out of a less than ideal situation. After the rain turned from a sprinkle to a downpour, we sought shelter under the church breezeways and finished out the portrait piece of the day.
The Parador Reception
Back in the party bus, everyone was excited to head to The Parador to kick off the evening of full of dancing, good food, and tasty cocktails. Churrascos prepared the most delicious meal for the guests to enjoy for dinner, followed up with the most phenomenal wedding cake by Grammy Cake. It. Was. Divine. If you read my wedding blogs often, you will probably recognize a pattern that I really like cake. I also really enjoy watching the bride and groom enjoying their guests and having a great time on the dance floor. I don’t think Michael or Emma left for more than 30 seconds. The best part of the entire night was their private dance. Typically, these are slow, intimate songs with swaying moments. Nope! Not for Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! They danced to “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” by Jet. It was the most upbeat, joyful last dance I have ever seen and it was the BEST! Reason 5,999 that I love Emma & Michael! They soon jetted off through a tunnel of bubbles and started on their new journey as husband and wife!
