Korrina & Jason Engagement

“Can I borrow a pencil?”

Those five words started it all for Korrina and Jason. The childhood sweethearts met in seventh grade history class when Jason lent Korinna that pencil. But it wasn’t until October 15, 2010, when they were in eighth grade, that they went on their first official date.

Their relationship continued throughout high school. Korrina would cheer Jason on at the football games. And like a classic high school romance, they attended homecoming and senior prom together.

While most high school pairings end when college begins, these two decided to attend university together, what the couple calls the best decision they could have made. They made friends together, discovered a new city together, adopted a dog together and learned how to be on their own together. As Korrina explained, “it was a lot of fun getting to experience all the firsts of college with my best friend by my side.”

It was in their last semester of college that Jason decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Korrina. At the end of a romantic paint night date he popped the question by pulling out a canvas that said, “Will you marry me?” Korrina was shocked but accepted immediately!

And though they planned a large wedding for March 2021 at The Farmhouse in Montgomery, TX, due to Covid-19 they’ve decided to hold a much more intimate ceremony at The Oak Atelier. But the change in date ended up being a very appropriate one: the happiest day of their life will take place on their 10th anniversary, October 15, 2020.

We had a wonderful engagement session at Brazos Bend State Park earlier this summer. It was a beautiful day for a walk in the park and don’t they just look picture perfect? The love that they have for each other just jumps through the camera. It’s stories like Korrina and Jason’s that make wedding and engagement photography so much fun.
